Your Cruise Itinerary

With no more than 72 guests on board you will have the opportunity to enjoy some memorable inland adventures. Experienced Wildlife Rangers will lead you on bushwalks through five National Parks including the untouched Wilderness World Heritage Area, Freycinet National Park and Maria Island. There is also a behind the scenes tour of Port Arthur and the opportunity to indulge in Tasmania’s famous food and wine produce.

The comfortable cabins and staterooms all have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms and there are informative talks and presentations on board throughout your cruise from Hobart.

Price Includes: All meals including a Captain’s Welcome dinner event, daily on shore excursions with use of the Explorer tender vessel, guest lecturers and park fees.

Day 1: Hobart and River Derwent

Board the Coral Discoverer at Hobart’s Macquarie Wharf at 4:00pm ahead of our 5:00pm departure. Cruise the River Derwent whilst enjoying the Captain's Welcome Drinks. Your overnight anchorage will be off the coast of beautiful Bruny Island.

Day 2: Woodbridge

Enjoy a tour and tasting at Grandvewe Cheeses before cruising down the D'Entrecasteaux Channel to the pretty coastal towns of Woodbridge and Franklin.

Day 3: Recherche Bay

Journey along Recherche Bay to Cockle Creek on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Join an optional scenic hike at the start of the famed South Coast Track led by a Wildlife Ranger.

Day 4: Adventure Bay

Relax as you enjoy a scenic cruise along the southern coast of Bruny Island keeping a look out for Australia's largest colony of Fur Seals. At Adventure Bay choose to swim, kayak or relax on the beach.

Day 5: Freycinet National Park

Awaken this morning to the pristine surrounds of Freycinet National Park. Early risers can join an optional morning guided hike to spectacular Wineglass Bay lookout.

Day 6: Maria Island

Marvel at the ruins, bays and diverse wildlife of Maria Island National Park. Immerse yourself in history as you visit many of the convict sites of the region, some dating back to the 17th century.

Day 7: Tasman National Park

Cruise past the 300 metre sea cliffs and monumental rock formations of the Tasman National Park, including the famous Tasman Arch and Cathedral Rock with possible sightings of seals, dolphins and albatross on Tasman Island.

Day 8: Cruise concludes in Hobart

Begin your final voyage back to Hobart along the River Derwent. Our arrival at Macquarie Wharf at 8:00am marks the end of our Tasmanian expedition.
